    Good, thanks.
Not to derail... I find it is fairly common for people to quote from some report to support their case when the substance of the report does not support them at all.

That's not derailing, that's going meta.

The interesting thing here is that they combine two reports, taking unconnected figures from both to creat a new reality. It's not just that they misinterpreted one report, they invented something entirely new.

I think though, to your point, what they do is take a very small part of a report out of context, and assume nobody will actually read the full thing. Usually they don't even link to the original, and then it goes third hand, people pass it on trusting the original synthesizer.

It's one of the behaviors that make me misbehave. I cannot stand such a cynical misuse of information. It's exactly Orwell's Ministry of Truth. It's a violent attack on my most sensitive organ. Calm, calm...
I'm sorry I cannot suggest anything useful, beyond that which I would know anyone here would do.
Well done, and a great find.

And when the proper statistics are realized, the conclusions are amazingly accurate (in this instance)....

You should also note that’s about homosexual MEN, and that lesbians are 50% LESS violent than heterosexual couples.

All of which points to the notion that the violence does not stem from sexuality, but from maleness.

increase in the number of unmarried couples, as heterosexual couples

Statistics says that, there has been a steady increase in the number of unmarried couples, as heterosexual couples decide to forgo marriage and social conservatives have successfully kept same sex marriage from becoming legal. Though there are plenty of efforts to legislate morality and so forth, there are financial risks which married couples do not have to structurally deal with. There are also benefits that married partners cannot realize either. Whenever you take out an unsecured loan, diverse rules might apply.
