This snowman looks like he'll be just in time for Xmas

Hi all, just joined. Been reading this forum for a while now and like the skeptical banter.

What does anyone make of this?

This is one cryptozoological mystery that just won't go away. Has always intrigued me, especially the mythology from both the North American continent and the Himalayan region.

So is it a big story with legs (and feet) or just another abominable hoax?

I'd put money on hoax. But right now it's just a claim with zero evidence, by Veterinary Dr. Melba Ketchum.

Yup true zero evidence so far, big implications if once passed peer review her findings stand up though...Sasquatch's mommy is human!

Strange that someone like her would go to the lengths of a purported 5 year long study just to create a media frenzy around a hoax. Looks like she has a well respected reputation in her field & therefore something to lose.

No such thing as bad publicity?

Indeed. Worst case she gets lots of free advertising for her company. If it's a hoax she can string it out forever. Just so long as she never admits she was wrong.

A Bigfoot hoax went wrong, and the hoaxer got killed on a highway:

Where'd she get the DNA sample? Did she find some Sasquatch drool on her tent or something?

Here's some reasons why Ketchum's "paper" is suspect.

"It is very important not to mistake hemlock for parsley; but not at all so to believe or not in God" - Diderot

There are some interesting comments there about her 'lab'. It seems to have been closed down. There is an explanation there of why

Sorry, I should have clicked the link in the post above me first,
