Explained: "Beam" in Video of Explosion In Iraq. [Rolling Shutter Artifact]

Yes, the white vapour cloud appears to be fake, and isn't shown in the other videos of the event.

Explained: "Beam" in Video of Explosion In Iraq. [Rolling Shutter Artifact]

This video of an explosion in Iraq last month is doing the rounds with the claim that it shows a "directed energy weapon". It appears to be another rolling-shutter artifact, with the light source from the explosion rather than lightning.

    Bugs and Suggestions for Metabunk.org

Thanks, I might give that a try. The built-in tool also saves the image as a .PNG on the clipboard, so I don't know why it won't paste. Maybe it's a browser issue? Edit: or, it just occurred to me, maybe it is a size issue? I think there might be a size limit for pasting directly into the post...

    Bugs and Suggestions for Metabunk.org

I've just got a new Mac and I've noticed that pasting images from the clipboard directly into a post doesn't work. On my old PC I could use the Snipping Tool to take a screen grab and then just hit CTRL-V to paste the image in without uploading. On the Mac that doesn't work. The equivalent...

By coincidence I just came across a very similar cloud formation photographed a day or two ago in the UK: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10207237349828251&set=p.10207237349828251&type=3&permPage=1

Flat Earth Theory Debunked by Short Flights (QF27 & QF28) From Australia to South America

I was having a discussion with someone who claimed that the LAN flights between Auckland and Santiago are "always cancelled two days before the flight". But there are videos of people flying the route on YouTube, for instance: and There is one flight a day in each direction and the...

Debunked: Airplane passenger 'takes picture of UFO that was giving off bright lights and orbs'

From Wikipedia: In November 2014, Associated Press reported that the plant was producing only "about half of its expected annual output". The California Energy Commission issued a statement blaming this on "clouds, jet contrails and weather".[14] However, in the first quarter of 2015, Ivanpah...

Debunked: The Great Culling - Paul Wittenberger and Chris Maple

Well, maybe, if you just want to delete the dead people from the continuum of "healthy to sick". To my mind, being dead is about as sick as you can get. Take two populations of 10 people in their sixties, say. After 10 years, group A: five are healthy, four are living with chronic illness and...

Debunked: Airplane passenger 'takes picture of UFO that was giving off bright lights and orbs'

Apparently the Tonopah solar farm has been accused of cooking birds that get too close... ... so you could say it is an identified frying object. :)

Debunked: Airplane passenger 'takes picture of UFO that was giving off bright lights and orbs'

The solar project appears to be under construction in the Google Earth view, with only some of the solar panels in place, but I've approximated the viewpoint here. You can see that the road and the three dark areas (storage tanks?) match up, as do the sand dunes in the foreground.

Titanium dioxide is an approved food additive (as a white colouring) and is also present in substantial quantities in toothpaste, as an abrasive. It's pretty well totally inert.

Hi all, I'm new to this forum, so still trying to find my way around. I wanted to comment regarding

Hi @Phred! Even the relatively small number of contrails in New Zealand is enough to produce chemtrail believers. And they are just as resistant to facts as the Shasta crowd in the video! https://chemtrailsnorthnz.wordpress.com

Debunked: J. Marvin Herndon's "Geoengineering" Articles in Current Science (India) and IJERPH

They still seem to have an idea that these tests are showing pure metallic elements, when of course they are just normal minerals. The test method breaks all compounds down into their constituent elements.

In other words, there are nine millionths of a gram of barium in 1000 grams of water. Put another way, to ingest 1 gram of barium you would need to drink 111 tonnes of that water, or just over 29,000 US gallons :)

The psychology of the CT believers

I think personal testimonies from former believers are some of the most powerful tools for curing CTers. I also think they are a vital illustration of the harm that can be done, in answer to the "who cares?" people - the ones who ask why debunking is important.
