Majority of Americans wrongly believe US is in recession

This post is about pervasive bunk that exists (with a small bit of slant) across the political spectrum in the USA. Nearly three in five Americans wrongly believe the US is in an economic recession, and the majority blame the Biden administration, according to a Harris poll conducted...

Rare things that have been documented much better than UFOs

You do not remember the phrases that you forget. Therefore, to your memory, it's like you remember all of them (even though you don't). It's a type of self-selection bias.

    Intelligence Estimates of Putin's Health

Thank you for reposting my quote from post #14. There are no intelligence estimates in post #1.

Claim: Early Polling Is Meaningful and Useful

"A is B" does not imply that A and B are synonyms. They are not when A is a specific term and B is a more general term encompassing it.

Sure. But at that angle, shouldn't there be more glare visible near the ends of the gap?

    Intelligence Estimates of Putin's Health

Media that generally rate low in factuality did e.g. spread news of Putin's "heart attack". We have not found quality media that did. About 2 years ago, the CIA was reported to estimate that Putin was quite healthy. Any statement about "the media" is likely an overgeneralisation.

Skinwalker Ranch - Laser Beam Stops and Starts in Mid Air

@jimmyslippin @john.phil I take your examples to show the rolling shutter effect explained above. It's clear that this can explain the "break" in the laser at SWR, but so far we have not identified a camera where this could happen as it does here on portrait image (and a vertical beam). Your...

Claim: Early Polling Is Meaningful and Useful

I looked up title 52, and https://www.justice.gov/crt/title-52-voting-and-elections-subtitle-i-and-ii always associates the word "fraud" with something like "knowingly or willfully" or similar, signaling intent. I hate arguing with people who can't be bothered to do the source work.

I know the definition of "synonym". What I would like you to establish is that these terms are synonyms.

Claim: Early Polling Is Meaningful and Useful

You mean, The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, "Voting Irregularities in Florida During the 2000 Presidential Election."? It does not mention electoral fraud. Instead, it states, "The VRA does not require intent to discriminate." Compare: Intent is a crucial factor in fraud cases. The...

Claim: Early Polling Is Meaningful and Useful

I do not see that quoted in this thread. What "contents" did you quote it from? Here's a citation I found: Plaintiffs challenge the state's certification and approval, and the local Defendants' selection and use of: (1) punch card voting systems, (2) voting systems that lack effective error...

Skinwalker Ranch - Laser Beam Stops and Starts in Mid Air

There is no evidence for interference at all, and it should be very visible—if it is even possible with this setup, which I doubt.

Claim: Early Polling Is Meaningful and Useful

the proper consequence is to change the voting system, to one where your vote is not "lost" if your first preference is an also-ran.

Claim: Early Polling Is Meaningful and Useful

Yes, but if the topic of your thread is "early polls are not meaningful", you named it wrong and placed it in the wrong section. Our Flat Earth threads do start with a claim of evidence. I don't think it's meaningful to "debunk" a straw man.

Claim: Early Polling Is Meaningful and Useful

Well, if I had context, I could examine what meaning the guy on TV ascribes to the poll, and what they think it could be used for. I'm still in the dark about that.
