Most likely saw it glinting in the sun then zoomed in with the camera, looks like maybe a superzoom type P+S camera (Nikon p900 style.) It's quite common for me to catch something moving out the corner of my eye then zoom my camera in when I am out doing bird photography.

Yup I noticed this, it seems odd, the camera follows the objects descent as it goes past the clouds downwards, then it seems to go right. I wonder if it is at all possible to stabilise track it across the full frame.
