[HOAX] "Glowing Tic-TaC" UFO in southern France [Possibly a Drone]

If a hoax I don't think pure CGI, drone with staged videos with replaced audio seems more likely.

[HOAX] "Glowing Tic-TaC" UFO in southern France [Possibly a Drone]

The light rotates end over end, if this is the wings of the aircraft seen from below then it has rotate around it's centre axis in a way that keeps the full length of the light visible. It then has to fly off in the direction of the long axis of the wings.

[HOAX] "Glowing Tic-TaC" UFO in southern France [Possibly a Drone]

So for a flying wing to represent those parts of the videos it would have to not swept back like the example one and then somehow rotate in a flat spin. Then shoot off in the direction of one of the wings.

Can you indicate where you think the light is mounted on this model aircraft, I am having trouble picturing this.

[HOAX] "Glowing Tic-TaC" UFO in southern France [Possibly a Drone]

The problem with the fixed wing idea is the object goes static (hovers) then rotates 360 degrees several times Take a look at 28 to 35 seconds of the 1st video.

Gimbal distance and Speed Range Estimates using Lines of Bearing and/or DCS

As are we but that can't be worked out without knowing the distance to it which this thread tried to work out from lines of bearing using realistic turning rates of the f/18. But the conclusions are that minor changes in the angle rate estimate change the calculations vastly the angle changes...

[HOAX] "Glowing Tic-TaC" UFO in southern France [Possibly a Drone]

A drone can move forward and rotate around it's center axis at the same time, this with a light strip attached is what likely gives the tumbling appearance.

[HOAX] "Glowing Tic-TaC" UFO in southern France [Possibly a Drone]

No I think it means at the moment the most likely candidate is a drone, best have a word with Mick if you don't agree with the title change.

[HOAX] "Glowing Tic-TaC" UFO in southern France [Possibly a Drone]

That's video 1 from the MB post, it's possible that it's due to glare / low light persistence. it dims a bit and you can see it get partially occluded by the leaves farther on, it would be unusual to do this bit that well and miss other easier bits if you were faking it.

[HOAX] "Glowing Tic-TaC" UFO in southern France [Possibly a Drone]

And of course the unusual behaviour happens just before the video starts/after it ends as usual.

It seems fairly evident that the cow pen/area is lit by something else in the latest video.

A drone can easily rotate and descend vertically.

Could The Gimbal Video Show an Atlas V Launch?

Making up numbers is less helpful, it fakes precisions where no precision is possible. The rocket launch is an interesting theory but we have no way of verifying it. There are many aircraft in the skies at any time, but far less rockets. So it's not as likely but trying to put a number it given...

[HOAX] "Glowing Tic-TaC" UFO in southern France [Possibly a Drone]

Most of the points in the videos where the squarer shape appears seem to coincide with camera movement in a different axis than the object movement, I think they are likely down to motion blur rather than representing the "true" shape.

[HOAX] "Glowing Tic-TaC" UFO in southern France [Possibly a Drone]

Do those coincide with a rotation of the object? There's a lot going on affecting the apparent shape frame to frame, video to video. Motion blur because of the object and camera moving and lowlight persistence on the phone camera. Object going in and out of focus. Poor quality video with...

[HOAX] "Glowing Tic-TaC" UFO in southern France [Possibly a Drone]

Some of the video frames seem to show there are 2 lights, also it rotates around the centre and doesn't travel purely along its longest line, this seems to suggest 2 point lights in a line rather than a contiguous capsule shaped object. Brightness and a little motion blur could be enhancing the...

    What's a good binocular to buy ?

A pair of binoculars is an incorrect colloquialisation that's in widespread use, it's not the "official" term.
