GoFast : is the background moving relatively to the movement of the jet ? Or the camera only ?

I don't think the full diagonal is passing through the camera Try this in your blender simulation, change the ocean texture to a checkerboard pattern with a known size of squares.

Why Doesn't The Military Shoot Down UFOs/UAPs in Military Airspace?

It's possible, though the rules of using military weapons of war in US airspace must be pretty tight, I'd imagine squeezing off some canon fire a few miles out from Virginia beach might have you doing paperwork for a long old time...

Fravor's Hypersonic UFO observation. Parallax Illusion? Comparing Accounts

Doesn't have to be launched by a sub the sub being there and a balloon also being there could be unrelated.

Why Doesn't The Military Shoot Down UFOs/UAPs in Military Airspace?

Those balloons were seen really close to a popular resort beach canon fire would be a real danger to civilian boats or even people on the beach and loosing off a missile would be worse.

Why Doesn't The Military Shoot Down UFOs/UAPs in Military Airspace?

Because if you don't know what it is you might have just fired on a civilian airliner because your radar was glitching out and now 300 people are dead and the NCIS can call you up and go turns out it wasnt aliens as they pick through the wreckage of children's holiday luggage.

NYT: GIMBAL Video of U.S. Navy Jet Encounter with Unknown Object

IRST is a different type of sensor to the ATFLIR type targeting pods it's meant to be a sort of IR version of RWS mode RADAR ie all round IR detection/angle providing rather than target ID/designation focussed like the ATFLIR type targeting pods. Looks like Russia is licensing a French...

NYT: GIMBAL Video of U.S. Navy Jet Encounter with Unknown Object

No they don't ATFLIR is a specific product name owned by Raytheon like Doritos is owned by PepsiCo. They might have a similar Infrared Targeting Pod for use on aircraft but they don't have ATFLIR as its US technology and not sold to US adversaries.

GoFast : is the background moving relatively to the movement of the jet ? Or the camera only ?

Given the object is nearly exactly halfway between the sea and the f/18 the apparent ocean velocity should the jet ground speed + or - the ground speed of the object in the tracking axis right?

NYT: GIMBAL Video of U.S. Navy Jet Encounter with Unknown Object

it looks more like a crop in of the ATFLIR video that crops out all the side information rather than it having no info, right at the start of the video, you can just see the angle pip indicator, the expanding bars in the middle are like ATFLIRs auto track tracking bars that are relative to...

GoFast : is the background moving relatively to the movement of the jet ? Or the camera only ?

I think motion blur might play a big part in the perceived motion speed.

Why Doesn't The Military Shoot Down UFOs/UAPs in Military Airspace?

If the UAP/UFO object in Corbel's triangle video had been shot at by the Navy, I'd imagine it would be listed here alongside the Iran Air and Malaysian Airline events.

GoFast : is the background moving relatively to the movement of the jet ? Or the camera only ?

This is the description of the pointing modes from the FSX F/18E manual at: https://forums.vrsimulations.com/support/index.php/A/A_Forward_Looking_Infrared_(FLIR)#A.2FA_FLIR_Pointing_Modes 3.2 Inertial LOS Mode When the FLIR is in the Inertial LOS Mode, the MC maintains the FLIR LOS at a...

GoFast : is the background moving relatively to the movement of the jet ? Or the camera only ?

There's nothing to indicate that the Go Fast object is anything other than balloon possibly with a radar reflector, you might be mixing up gimbal again. The RADARs settings/range etc in RWS are determined somewhat by the weapon you have selected.

GoFast : is the background moving relatively to the movement of the jet ? Or the camera only ?

I think Go Fast and Gimbal are getting mixed up again. "It is a drone bro" is from Gimbal.
