    Hypothesis: Fravor's Tic Tac was Kurth's FA18

Agreed, although I get somewhat stuck on his initial claim that he already had the evidence on disc but had lost it "at a relative's house". Then later he doesn't back down from this but simultaneously claims there's only one copy of the disc. And tantalisingly he also says there is a slightly...

    Hypothesis: Fravor's Tic Tac was Kurth's FA18

The threads are still live but require a bit of wading through/parsing - a couple of different screen-names get involved. It's intriguing stuff, with the benefit of hindsight. Server is sometimes a bit slow: https://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/mem/thefinaltheory (Not sure what the link policy...

F-16 Pilot- Chris Lehto analyses Gimbal footage

Given the context it seems they're referring to the "whole fleet of them" on the Situational Awareness display - radar contacts, not the "gimbal" object. Ryan Graves draws a distinction between these objects ("the little guys" they'd encountered previously) and the large object on FLIR, which...

NYT: GIMBAL Video of U.S. Navy Jet Encounter with Unknown Object

What's their explanation then for the white-hot part of the video early on, where it has a totally different shape?

The clouds jolt too, it's camera movement. Not a magical vertical translation of the object every time it starts rotating.

NYT: GIMBAL Video of U.S. Navy Jet Encounter with Unknown Object

Here's the Gimbal footage stabilised on the object, and then overlaid with a crosshair on a static part of the overlay. I think that this helps to show how the entire image jolts around at the start of each rotation.

Well they apparently buy FLIR cameras that give the impression of rotation when filming a burning vehicle on the ground. And yes, it seems to have confused a lot of people in the US Navy (apart, perhaps, from the person who saved the file as "Gimbal.wmv").

May be more noticeable with the contrast cranked up.

    Skinny bob videos?

That's all pretty well established at this point. If you go to the r/skinnybob subreddit and sort by top posts of all time, the first two or three discuss tracking down the effects used. I won't quote the swathes of discussion, but one of the posters made this video demonstration: I (Note...

NYT: GIMBAL Video of U.S. Navy Jet Encounter with Unknown Object

I must have watched that gimbal video being picked apart and analyzed a hundred times, and never really picked up on the "bumps". They're incredibly obvious now you've mentioned them. Even looking at a tiny part of the horizon is enough to see three distinct perturbations, and yes they happen...

USS Omaha UFO / UAP Radar Video

Corbell's Instagram post says: This RADAR data release shows four clips; multiple unknown targets. So three cuts. From The War Zone's piece on the drone incident: During the events, the ships often engaged “emissions control,” or EMCON, protocols designed to minimize their electronic...

1971 Lake Cote / Lago de Cote UFO Aerial Photo

If the blemish was introduced at an intermediate step during the development process, it would just leave a 2D image on the finished print.

USS Omaha UFO / UAP Radar Video

I can hear it either way if I try, but "oh a hundred and" comes a bit easier than "oh actually". But compared to the previous "46 knots, 50 knots," would 38 knots merit a "holy shit, they're going fast"? There is an edit in between, so the conversation may have lost that context, and 38 knots...

USS Omaha "Transmedium" Sphere Descending To the Sea

It was discussed briefly earlier in this thread. Corbell first uploaded this video to Instagram which has a 60 second limit, so he may have edited it down to get the most interesting parts of the video into one minute. Or maybe this was all he was provided with, perhaps it's two short video...

USS Omaha UFO / UAP Radar Video

Neither - to my ear, definitely not "one hundred thirty eight knots" or "one thirty eight knots" though. Setting it to 0.75 speed makes it a bit easier. edit: Changed my mind, I think he says "Oh a hundred and thirty eight knots". Attached an audio clip slowed down and with a bit of eq.

Fravor's Hypersonic UFO observation. Parallax Illusion? Comparing Accounts

That doesn't seem to add up. Linear motion on the part of the object and observer wouldn't result in apparent abrupt changes of direction.

Fravor's Hypersonic UFO observation. Parallax Illusion? Comparing Accounts

Basically, the idea is that the object was smaller than Fravor perceived it, so was also closer than he perceived it to be. When he began circling the object, which was more-or-less stationary, this gave him the impression that it was moving in the opposite direction around the perimeter of the...

NYT: GIMBAL Video of U.S. Navy Jet Encounter with Unknown Object

It would make sense that he has seen the radar tapes (which are always classified) from the aircraft involved in the encounter, as well as whatever camera footage they shot.
