I think we're at the point where the reflection theory (in general) has been shown to be both feasible and flawed, and some think it's likely and some don't. "Man in a boat" is probably less likely but potentially not impossible, and again some think it might be that and some don't. Of course...

I think it's tremendously magnificent. But I'm wondering about the focus. In the picture we see that the branches at the top are more out of focus than the object. In the reflection theory what explains this?

I know people aren't a fan of colorization - and with good reason - but it may be helpful with regard to the whole "man in a boat" thing (as well contrast enhancing). To me, both show that what we're looking at is sky. I think "man in a boat" is simply pareidolia.

Yeah, but I wouldn't really trust it to mimic what a 35mm camera would have done. I think if they were looking at a real UFO or hoaxing a fake UFO, either way they're not going to be following the plane. Looking up close though, it's not possible to tell if it's mirrored or not. Nothing...
