Misleading "worldwide" UFO reporting map - actually based on US data

Okay, here's the true world map according to GEIPAN (unit of the Frech Space Agency): Source: https://www.cnes-geipan.fr/en/search/cas Interestingly, outside of Europe - and in particular France (2880 reports) - we only see small clusters from Guadeloupe, Martinique, Reunion, and other...

Szydagis Point #2: “It’s curious that Asia and Africa have so few sightings, and sightings stop at the Canadian and Mexican borders."

Keep seeing it on Twitter so I did it: https://www.metabunk.org/threads/misleading-worldwide-ufo-reporting-map-actually-based-on-us-data.12721/ Note: this is an error that was correct in an earlier comment. Canada is about 5,000 (rest of the world correct at approximately 10,000).

Misleading "worldwide" UFO reporting map - actually based on US data

This map has been doing the rounds on Twitter (and maybe elsewhere) with some people claiming that it shows a highly unusual imbalance in reports of UFO sightings across the world. The map originates with a now unlisted YouTube video and the problem is, as confirmed in the video description...

Something on a NASA photo from Mars [Cosmic Ray]

A couple more for reference: Taken Sol 2446 (24th June, 2019 08:36:05Z) also with the right navigation camera (images taken 13 seconds before and 13 seconds after show nothing). Sol 688 (14th July, 2014 02:06:13Z) - same camera again. Fortunately, the left navigation camera also took an...

Klaus Schwab fake quote shared by Ben Shapiro

Popular American right-wing extremist Ben Shapiro recently shared a doctored clip from a 2007 video of World Economic Forum chairman Klaus Schwab talking about how the WEF works and who they work with. Source: www.twitter.com/WallStreetSilv/status/1584063086235111427 The quote in the tweet...

South Texas Thing - Strange Object on Path [Butterfly]

Oh, and here's a snippet from Texas Public Radio broadcast last month answering the question "why are there so many American Snout butterflies in the San Antonio area right now?" https://www.tpr.org/environment/2022-09-14/american-snout-butterflies-swarm-south-and-central-texas In light of...

South Texas Thing - Strange Object on Path [Butterfly]

Scrolling through the results of a Google image search for "American Snout butterfly" is interesting: Link: American Snout images The distinctive feature on both the object in the photo and the butterfly's wing of a light/white blob located above two other light/white blobs in a sort of...

Why "Racetrack" UFOs are mostly Starlink Flares

Nice article. All they're missing is the explanation for why some people think they're "circling".

MUFON Report 124374: Commercial airline pilot videos "2 objects circling" [Starlink Flares / Racetrack Illusion]

Would I get good footage from where I am (on Tropic of Cancer in Baja California Sur)? Low light pollution and usually clear nights. If so, tell me a time and date and I'll see what I can see.

South Texas Thing - Strange Object on Path [Butterfly]

It's only big and 90 feet away if you assume it was in that spot. What we're saying is that it most likely wasn't in that spot: that appearances can be deceptive and it's not always easy to tell the difference between things that are large and far away and things that are small and near. Here's...

South Texas Thing - Strange Object on Path [Butterfly]

Are you saying that you saw it at the time? Or are you saying "in the photo it kind of looks like it's in a spot that was 90 feet from me"? If the latter, I think the people here are saying it actually looks more like something small that's close to you (eg, a butterfly).

Claim: "Modern nuclear weapons don't have the radiation problem"

Yes, that was him doing the thing awkward geeky teenagers do after they've learned about the firebombing of Tokyo or Dresden (probably from reading Slaughterhouse 5) and someone mentions Hiroshima/Nagasaki (ie, insert a fact they hope makes them look smart, even though it's irrelevant, in lieu...
