South Texas Thing - Strange Object on Path [Butterfly]

If you didn't see it at the time it's kind of impossible to say that. Actually, I think it's okay that we don't know the seconds - seems less important now. I must be missing something. I keep looking for the 3024 x 4032 3.8mb one but all I see is smaller photos. Help? That's a tremendous...

Szydagis Point #2: “It’s curious that Asia and Africa have so few sightings, and sightings stop at the Canadian and Mexican borders."

Yeah, I thought I'd read something like that somewhere. ;) I wonder what the non-principal/primary means were/are? Perhaps regional UFO groups in other countries have submitted them en masse? There may not be a comparative ton of non-US/Canada reports but there are still 10,000+

Szydagis Point #2: “It’s curious that Asia and Africa have so few sightings, and sightings stop at the Canadian and Mexican borders."

Szydagis's flaw? I would think number of English speakers would be more applicable than percentage. I suppose the big question is: does NUFORC harvest reports from other countries and organisations' databases or do they solely rely on reports that are submitted to them? In any case, I think...

Szydagis Point #2: “It’s curious that Asia and Africa have so few sightings, and sightings stop at the Canadian and Mexican borders."

Actually, perhaps so - it showed up on Twitter yesterday and has quite a few shares: Source: www.twitter.com/StephenPiment/status/1583661053203820545

South Texas Thing - Strange Object on Path [Butterfly]

I would think the best thing to do is post original uncropped pictures (or put them somewhere like Google Drive so that people can download them). Probably not much people can do with the small versions. Also I wouldn't think sharpening's the way to go (might make it into something it isn't)...

"Silent glowing disc" UFO video on Reddit [A Plane]

Can you post more info please? You're requiring people to click to outside sources and search around to see what you're referring to. Also, what makes you think it's that one and not the one pointed to above by Easy Muffin?

Claim: "Modern nuclear weapons don't have the radiation problem"

If it's a topic one isn't not sure about we're best off keeping quiet and not confidently stating apparent facts. And it's not like anybody asked him a question about it, the other guy was talking and the issue was whether nukes could be shot down. He just blurted it out apropos of nothing...

"Silent glowing disc" UFO video on Reddit [A Plane]

Assuming that's MST and not UTC (or some other timezone) there's a plane to the north (SWA1358), one to the north-east (UAL2018), and one to the east travelling north at that time (WJA2247). There was also AAL2886 and AAL2659, somewhat further away, both to the northeast and travelling south...

FYI, writing that they were trying to remember whether it was K1 or K2 is part of the joke.

Claim: "Modern nuclear weapons don't have the radiation problem"

Nah, he wasn't talking in theory about hypothetical weapons, he was talking about the real world present moment situation. To me he seemed annoyed at the existence of war, but his overall demeanour seemed par for the course when he's speaking on TV. It wouldn't appear that way based on what...

Answered above (posts 9 and 10). The data comes from the US-based NUFORC.

Claim: "Modern nuclear weapons don't have the radiation problem"

According to Alex Wellerstein, a historian of science specialising in the history of nuclear weapons: Somewhat stunned by the ignorance displayed by @neiltyson in this clip from the @billmaher show, in which he repeats a serious misconception about thermonuclear weapons containing less fallout...

An oldie but a goldie - Joe Rogan and Neal deGrasse Tyson simultaneously debunking flat earthers while trying to remember whether the highest mountain above sea level is K1 or K2: Source: https://youtu.be/YjWn23pEl3k?t=224

Claim: "Modern nuclear weapons don't have the radiation problem"

Talking to Bill Maher recently Neal deGrasse Tyson said that: Maher then says he hopes deGrasse Tyson is right and deGrasse Tyson says: Maher than asks (at 3:30) if that's what they have and deGrasse Tyson doesn't answer, just kind of bluffs and smiles and after about ten seconds of silence...

Utah Drone video of UFO [Probably an Insect Zip-By]

Interesting to note the the Utah video is still doing the rounds and popped up 5 days ago on YouTube: Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6uNISoNWV4 Currently has over half a million views, more than two and a half thousand comments and, judging by a quick scan of them, most of the...

Szydagis Point #2: “It’s curious that Asia and Africa have so few sightings, and sightings stop at the Canadian and Mexican borders."

Yes, I think if it was still publicly online that would be good to do. But since it's now unlisted - presumably they realised it wasn't great - I think I'll let it lie.
