When looking at the patterns the lights make, there seems to be "abrupt" turns (not entirely possible to observe). This might indicate a turning aircraft, but taking a rather small radius of turn.. This might point to smaller/slower planes: ac planes.

Indeed. Also, they are very close to the camera and thus out of focus, becoming "orbs". I see other ones flying around, quite obviously bugs.

"same place" (see the twitter text) seems also to be a subjective term. I checked the lights in the video using my mouse and, nope, they do not occur in the same place.

Nice. Spectrometry in astronomy and the instrumentation used is my specialism for many years. It needs accurate spectral calibration using known sources (spectral lines). But it is a very powerful measurement method.

How a scene looks, perspectively, depends almost entirely on what lens was used. If we don't know that, we cannot try to compare scenes in my opinion.

Indeed. This discussion should be in another thread. But in my humble opinion it is not a topic that should be discussed on metabunk. Too many people have an extremely emotional opinion on it, and this will only cause problems. Best to stay with physics I would say, but I am not a staff member. :)

I think it is important to note, without judging the groups expertise, that from all the objects astronomers photograph, they have the least experience with close proximity ones. I think that is not trivial.

It looks like classic motion blur. Bug is a good match (close to viewer, more blur wrt plane in the back).
