May 4. A good example, this one: Mostly cloudless sky in the early morning, with slowly increasing fair-weather cumulus. A couple of bits of cirrus/aged contrails drift in from the southwest around 09:45 (08:45Z, 0:26 in video), but the main arrival is about 11:15 (10:15Z, 0:39 in video)...

May 3. An overcast start, with the cloud starting to break from about 12:30 (11:30Z). Plenty of cumulus cloud through the afternoon, and into the evening, but deep blue sky in between, with no visible contrails right through to the end of the day. RH is above 90% at the start of the day...

May 2. Not much to see here, totally overcast, but included for the sake of completeness: It does illustrate that even with low humidity at 300mb, it can still be totally overcast, with high humidity at lower levels. In this case the humidity at 300mb at 12Z is only about 30%, but at 700mb...

There is also an overnight timelapse for the night of April 30/May 1, which shows the abrupt change in conditions: The night starts out very clear, with several planes passing by on the east-west transatlantic flight path but not leaving any trails. Then almost on the stroke of midnight...
