Solved: MH17: is this part of a missile? [Concrete Grinding Pads]

This photo shows two five more of the same thing (lower centre). https://www.flickr.com/photos/jeroenakkermans/14725458801/in/set-72157645471359080 Edit, actually, if you take a closer look, there are five of them, with some edge-on and/or upside down. I thought at first that the black...

Hoax: Fuel Dump video on Facebook [Flight BA244 from Buenos Aires to London]

I've listened now. A nice job, but yes, I would have questioned the "qualifications" of Wigington and co, which the host mentioned. But I was also pleasantly surprised that he didn't get cut off as soon as he came clean. It was a surprisingly civil interview. (I haven't listened to the Dane...

Hoax: Fuel Dump video on Facebook [Flight BA244 from Buenos Aires to London]

Well if, as you say, you can't beat them, then you might as well have some fun with them. They have to serve SOME purpose, after all.

Hoax: Fuel Dump video on Facebook [Flight BA244 from Buenos Aires to London]

Like I said, I'm in two minds here. He has got half a million views, 11,000 shares and apparently has had "documentary makers and journalists" contacting him. He seems pretty anti-chemtrailer, so I think he might expose the gullibillity quite nicely. YMMV...

Hoax: Fuel Dump video on Facebook [Flight BA244 from Buenos Aires to London]

I can see where you are coming from, but remember: when he edits the video description, the description will also be changed on every single Facebook wall that the video is shared on. That's how it works. So the real information will appear on about 12,000 walls, all at once. Quite effective.... :)

Hoax: Fuel Dump video on Facebook [Flight BA244 from Buenos Aires to London]

Don't worry, he will expose it. He's making it pretty obvious now, and they are still lapping it up. Who knows, some people might end up learning something...

    Flight BOE1

This is my favourite Boeing test flight. :) https://uk.flightaware.com/live/flight/BOE12/history/20140130/1830Z/KBFI/KPAE Info on this flight here: http://www.geekwire.com/2014/boeings-new-seahawks-themed-747-takes-first-flight-12thman-pattern/

Hoax: Fuel Dump video on Facebook [Flight BA244 from Buenos Aires to London]

Well, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and say it was probably meant to wind up his friends rather than go viral on the internet. But you never know.

Hoax: Fuel Dump video on Facebook [Flight BA244 from Buenos Aires to London]

It now looks as though this (the video) was some sort of prank: in other words, the person posting it knew perfectly well what it showed but decided to have some fun with his friends. A recent posting by one of them: Presumably he is currently en route from São Paulo back to the UK.

I saw those explanatory posts appearing, then being deleted. Wherever Chris is at the moment, he's having some fun deleting posts.

I have messaged somebody on that page with a link to this thread. Hopefully he'll add a link... Edit: done now

News report linked from that thread: http://g1.globo.com/sao-paulo/noticia/2014/09/aviao-faz-pouso-de-emergencia-no-aeroporto-de-cumbica.html Approximate translation: In a statement, British Airways apologised "to passengers of flight BA244 that had to be redirected to Sao Paulo" on Tuesday...

Hoax: Fuel Dump video on Facebook [Flight BA244 from Buenos Aires to London]

It looks like British Airways seating, and it looks like a 777. And based on his Facebook statuses, the person who posted the video has just been in Buenos Aires (and lives in the UK). So, assuming the video is recent, I think I've solved it. Flight BA244 from Buenos Aires to London...

Debunked: Chemtrail Plane and Other Unlabeled Photos from Facebook etc.

This one being shared on Twitter must set some kind of age record: That photograph dates from 1987! It's a scanned copy of a slide, showing a fuel dump from a Lockheed TriStar. Original link here...

Photos of Planes and Contrails (That you took yourself)

A very unseasonably warm day yesterday in Kent (southeast England) and so I spent the day on the beach. Lots of contrails around, preceding a change of weather type overnight with showers today. Only phone pictures, but I'm sharing as there was quite a lot going on overhead! Contrail crossing...

Debunked: Look-Up.org.uk Alleged "spray pipes" on A-320 are Pylon Drains

That part really puzzled me, too. Why has Ian quoted this email, when it perfectly explains what the pylon drains actually are? Does he not understand what the email actually says? It seems very odd that he would include an email response that basically blows his "spray pipe" theory out of the...

Ms Meghan now seems to be denying that the earlier comments on this thread under her name were actually made by her.

    Cameras for close-up contrail photography

I would go so far as to say that we are at the point now where megapixels really don't matter. A cellphone nowadays has more pixels than a digital SLR did not very many years ago. But does that mean it takes better pictures? Of course not. In almost all cases, the pixel count is NOT the...

    Debunked: Texas Weather Modification

I would love to know where this idea of radar "creating" the weather, rather than simply reporting on it, came from. It just seems so totally at odds with reality: who first made that leap of logic?
