    Look-Up "No more lies" campaign

Look-Up has also commented on a photo of a fall-streak hole, claiming that such clouds cannot consist of ice because they have been observed as low as 25,000ft during summer, where the "altitude and temperature do not allow ice formation". Leaving aside the matter of how Look-Up have...

Advocating violence against "Chemtrail" planes, pilots, scientists, and debunkers

Well, I suppose there is a faction of believers who think that commercial aircraft are not involved, and that secret unmarked military jets are responsible for all trails in the sky. (Something that can easily be disproved in 10 minutes with a smartphone app!) But then other believers (eg...

Advocating violence against "Chemtrail" planes, pilots, scientists, and debunkers

You have to wonder if these people ever fly. Some of them must do. How do they reconcile this attitude with getting on a plane?

Photos of Planes and Contrails (That you took yourself)

A couple more from central London this morning. A nice example of Crow instability in a clear blue sky: And a minute or so later, a plane going in the opposite direction almost parallel to it: I'm pretty sure I've identified the aircraft responsible. The second one is definitely correct...

Debunked: Look-up.org.uk claims to find Gulf of Guinea Chemtrails base

Actually I don't think the plane landed in Bejaia, as the altitude was still at 32,000ft when the track ended. The plane presumably moved out of range, as I doubt there are many ADS-B receivers in the Sahara! It might have been heading to Lagos, which is one of the airports used by Nordic Global...

Photos of Planes and Contrails (That you took yourself)

FR24 said 8 miles by the time I fired it up. The flight track seems to be unavailable in FR24 now though.

Photos of Planes and Contrails (That you took yourself)

I thought this had a nice symmetry so quickly snapped a phone photo. Shame about the stray reflection. Flight was Ryanair FR2329 from Limoges to Leeds Bradford, flying at 36,000ft.

    Contrails in satellite images pre-1995

It's worth noting that at cruising speed (say 900 km/hr), for a contrail to be only 9km long it could only last for 1/100 of an hour, or 36 seconds. A 28km-long trail would have to dissipate within 112 seconds, or less than two minutes. It seems to me that this source was talking about...

Debunked: Look-up.org.uk claims to find Gulf of Guinea Chemtrails base

In case people don't trust satellite images not to conceal a secret island at "zero-zero", you can see photos taken from the location on the Degree Confluence Project, a website which collects photos taken at the precise crossing points of lines of latitude and longitude. The entry for 0° 0°...

Lorem Ipsum: Of Good & Evil, Google & China

I've noticed that Google tries to translate things to local equivalents sometimes: like the above "Sarkozy" in French being translated to "Obama" in US English, I've also seen things like "euros" being changed to "pounds" (along with numerical amounts being randomly changed, not according to...

    Contrails in satellite images pre-1995

Just a quick and rough job but I've overlaid that satellite image onto Google Maps to get a measure of the contrails. I chose a long "fresh" trail", but the older one that has spread is longer, of course. Still this one is well over 200 miles long.

Debunked: Look-up.org.uk claims to find Gulf of Guinea Chemtrails base

Look-Up still seem to be pushing their mythical island airstrip at 0 degrees latitude, 0 degrees longitude. On this image the red dashed line shows the "filed flight path" on FR24. However if you look at the details (in the pink strip at the bottom here) then the "To" field is blank, hence...

    MD-11 Exhaust Pipes

As for the all-white livery and lack of windows, these are cargo planes. The aircraft pictured are operated by Nordic Global Airlines and a new company, Western Global Airlines, which shares a CEO (Jim Neff) with Nordic and which only began operations this month.

"Chemtrail plane" on Google Maps (plane + contrail captured by satellite)

A series of images from Google Maps has been claimed to show an aircraft leaving chemtrails; e.g. see http://www.look-up.org.uk/chemtrail-plane-google-maps/ From the labels on the images it is easy to find the location. The plane is flying slightly south of east above Issenheim in eastern...

Skydentify - Guidelines for Submitting Photos

A question regarding the files uploaded: maybe I'm missing something but I can never extract any EXIF data from them. The URLs of uploaded photos don't seem to point directly at an image file, so the usual online tools don't work. Is there a way round this or is it deliberate?

Solved: "Alien" with "shadow" on the Moon [Debris in Camera]

The photos in question were taken from a camera on board Apollo 15, which was technically a satellite of the moon, but not what most people would think of as a satellite! The dirt, if it was in the camera, was presumably in the camera before it left Earth. The dirt was never removed, as it...

Solved: "Alien" with "shadow" on the Moon [Debris in Camera]

It is possible. I have seen it discussed on other forums and the consensus was that it was in the camera. You would think that if it was on the scanner it wouldn't appear on every single frame in the same place, for over 2,000 frames, but I suppose it can't be ruled out.

Solved: "Alien" with "shadow" on the Moon [Debris in Camera]

Yes, there is all manner of fluff and dirt all over those images. If you look just above the centre of the image, roughly a third of the way from the top, there's a giant "jellyfish"! And, strictly, the dirt probably wasn't on the lens but in the innards of the camera. If it was on the lens...
