do they? anyway, this to BABAL-52 and RaTG13 equally (FCS=furin cleavage site): The most closely related spike genes from bat CoVs BANAL-20-52 and RaTG13 (95% and 93% spike nucleotide sequence identity with SARS-CoV-2, respectively), RshSTT182 and RshSTT200, the Guangdong and Guangxi pangolin...

Is this a Chinese spy balloon?

I think the part that's fishy about this balloon is that it should've been tracked by the civil aviation authorities, i.e. China should've "handed it off" to Japan when it left their airspace. If this did happen (I don't know), the balloon is probably harmless, and it might've simply drifted off...

Is this a Chinese spy balloon?

Thank you! Dan Satterfield is Chief Meteorologist for the CBS affiliate WBOC TV in Salisbury, Maryland. The graph is not an actual track of the balloon, but it's rather what you get if you use a metereological wind model to predict where the balloon would've come from, assuming the wind blew it...

    COVID-19 Coronavirus current events

Old news that I just ran across: To make the discovery, Marc Eloit, a virologist at the Pasteur Institute in Paris and his colleagues in France and Laos, took saliva, faeces and urine samples from 645 bats in caves in northern Laos. In three horseshoe (Rhinolophus) bat species, they found...

    Calvine Photo Hoax Theories

if Pope thought what he saw at the bottom was landscape, he'd describe it as such, and the artist would render it green etc. I don't assign any evidentiary value to the artist's use of color.

Yep. And then you insert another lens (or a water drop) in the optical path, and it may become right-side-up (perceived as inverted).

So, the putative chain of events would then be a) photographer gives colour prints to newspaper b) newspaper makes prints via an intermediate B&W negative and passes them to MoD c) photographer gives original negatives to newspaper This would fit the handwritten note. However, the "original...

yes, but we're not talking about projected images in that context. (The final projection is done by the eye or the camera lens, not the water drop.)

Claim: Ancient Cultures inherited Structures and Artefacts from Pre-Historic Lost Civilizations with Advanced Manufacturing Capabilities

It wouldn't be considered "advanced" by us because it'd be a fairly manual technique, but still there's a chance no craftsman (or -woman) today could match the ancient top craftsman if you took away their power tools. I agree it wouldn't feel like "advanced" technology to us because we can now...

Yes. So if they had put a piece of granite on a potter's wheel and carved it , wouldn't that work?
