Calvine UFO Photo - Reflection In Water Hypothesis

I think it may be an illusion that the plane is flying upside down when the image is not rotated. I agree to this theory which involves the specific properties of a Harrier's tail (the plane, not the bird ). Source: https://twitter.com/Oswald1160/status/1558431042050072579

Calvine UFO Photo - Reflection In Water Hypothesis

It can well be a 'little' lie - two guys hoaxing the local newspaper. The MoD was involved only when the newspaper contacted them and asked for comment, thereby making it 'official'.

Calvine UFO Photo - Reflection In Water Hypothesis

Nice - so my guess for the fence showing up in the Google Earth section (previous post) was correct. The BBC photo even shows the two trees visible in the sat image.

Calvine UFO Photo - Reflection In Water Hypothesis

Maybe that's a misunderstanding. From the clouds, we'd only see the reflections, not the real thing - because they are not anywhere close to the waterline.

Calvine UFO Photo - Reflection In Water Hypothesis

Indeed. We can only assume. If it was a spontaneous idea after taking the photos, the general area and time range may be genuine. There are some water bodies around though, with forest around them. At Loch Bhac, I think there are fences visible in the north-western part, along with trees right...

Calvine UFO Photo - Reflection In Water Hypothesis

Not necessarily. If the water area is large enough and quite still, you get a near perfect sky. The clouds don't have any distiguishable orientation in the UFO photo. Here is a photo of Loch Bhac, three miles from Calvine (Wikipedia, "Loch Bhac") :

Calvine UFO Photo - Reflection In Water Hypothesis

I agree. The branches of the left tree resemble that of a weeping willow, with the shoots hanging down. They would go straight up if the photo was flipped.

Claim: Crashed UFO Disk/Saucer on Mars

The available stereo view (anaglyph, red/green) is rather cool. The depth is much overpronounced, but it enables viewing the topography of the canyon with the crescent dune in great detail. I'm using IrfanView in its latest version with the matching plugins, and watching JPEG2000 works well if...

    The AVRORA Callsign Mystery

That's what I thought. It is (and has been) probably many things during the years. But, yeah, that only multiplies the mystery ...

    The AVRORA Callsign Mystery

The AVRORA thing has been going on for a while though, with some periods where it didn't move at all. This is from January 2021, and there are reports on Reddit from two years ago: Source: https://twitter.com/vcdgf555/status/1349744853005996033

NY Times Essay by David Keith: "What’s the Least Bad Way to Cool the Planet?"

David Keith intensifies his advocacy for SRM. To cool the planet in this century, humans must either remove carbon from the air or use solar geoengineering, a temporary measure that may reduce peak temperatures, extreme storms and other climatic changes. Humans might make the planet Earth more...

Fravor's Hypersonic UFO observation. Parallax Illusion? Comparing Accounts

While collecting examples of parachute flare 'UFO' sightings, I stumbled upon a short interview with a helicopter pilot which rang a bell because there were parallels with Fravor's account. Here is the transcript of the snippet: Ricotta: So every time somebody called in a UFO, they send us up...

    Explained: HomeSteadHow "UFO" Photos [Helicopter]

Regarding the strobe frequency, I live in visual distance to a H145 base on a hospital. I can see it taking off and returning. It has a 'high-frequency' strobe, so to speak. It sends out series of flashes with intervals. One of those sequences would easily fit into one second. I found one...

USS Omaha UFO / UAP Radar Video

It's worth to note that this list is nearly identical to the one that he published with the "spherical UFO" video. So - as was remarked above already - it's the attempt to lump data that isn't really related (the videos) into one mixed-up ball. DETAILS Minimum 14 targets. Minimum 6ft in...

USS Omaha UFO / UAP Radar Video

For completeness' sake, here are the ships in the area from the AIS data, at around July 16, 04:40h UTC, the time that @Heavytread determined:

A terrain feature would be well known and would be factored in the course to avoid it without slowing down. I think there was a moving obstacle or some other incident.

Coming back to the Swan Ace and the sudden slow-down. Here is the track from the respective timespan, in 2-minute resolution from the open AIS data. However, this data places the slow-down around 17h / 5pm. I wrote a quick script that filters for a ship's name and creates a KML track or a...

Makes sense. China car exports likely don't match those from Japan yet. I bet the port preceding Canada was in Japan. It's still interesting why it slowed down all of a sudden on the evening of July 15.

I think most of the large ships worldwide are registered to Panama, Liberia or the Bahamas. That doesn't say much about the company using them or the area in which they travel. It's mainly for evading taxes and regulations.
