I was watching a video on YT of medieval longbows and such and noticed this 7:24-7:26 An insect coming through frame.

Whilst much longer and a bit heavier a B52's wingspan is only 4m longer than a B2 and because of the flying wing design the B2 has a larger wing area as well.

It's a context issue, to the US military an aircraft is probably "unidentified" because they don't know make/model/flight number etc the only people that make the leap from unidentified in this context to alien spacecraft or and object not of human origin are people looking for aliens.

It seems a trope, take a fairly mundane video, claim that it did all sorts of other stuff that just happened not to show up on the video or didn't get recorded for some reason. Then kind of lose interest in your sighting which if it is what you claim it to be is the most important event in human...

The white car looks like it's directly in front of the poster form the angle I would guess if you were adding the poster in and you were decent at image manipulation you'd see what might be reflected and add it in, it's a case of being good but not quite good enough.

Yeah you should add some grain/banding to the the sky above the clouds in your mockup and retry the compression testing, it should show the true effect of compression artifacts as they handle noise poorly. Someone claiming the above would need to provide evidence as as Mick says compression...

Do we understand the purpose of the parallel lines that enclose the target? They change length and move outward, do ?they indicate the status of the target lock? It seems the bumps are either a result of or a cause of lost or less sure lock on the target.

The shape of the lights and width of the trail is consistent with the diamond shaped distortion/trails on the stars. It's a pretty well stabilised long exposure astro photograph so the shapes are well defined.

The more we intuit from these videos the more respect I gain for the engineers who design these systems.

Is it worth mentioning that the jet can also rotate and the the camera has to adjust for that as well?

I think an overlay line from the object to the horizon might help with that.

Watching that stabilised footage, it does look like it drifts.

if it's a plane do we have enough info to use flight tracker to show that? A person saying they took the video has posted, I have asked them for rough location and date/time.
