Debunked: Study shows link between menstrual cycle and the moon

The effectiveness of contraception methods is by surveying the contraception methods used and tracking pregancies; they are not surveying single uses. This has long been established and makes all methods comparable. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pearl_Index for more information.

Explained: Odd Looking Bidens/Carters Photo - Not Fake, Just Perspective

Yes. It's neither, it's the position of the observer. The photograph is not distorted, it only appears that way. The camera does not affect the picture at all. Had there sat a painter with a piece of glass on her easel through which the scene before her was visible, and she had faithfully...

Explained: Odd Looking Bidens/Carters Photo - Not Fake, Just Perspective

No, not really, except for the same principles being at work. There is a little bit of forced perspective if you don't look closely and think that President Biden has his arm behind Mrs. Carter's shoulder, which is not the case.

Claim that the Nimitz FLIR1 object could not be a plane because it would have been Identified

The more likely strings of events are more easily identified. Most never make it into the UFO files.

Explained: Odd Looking Bidens/Carters Photo - Not Fake, Just Perspective

A 170° lens system is a fisheye, and that has barrel distortion. The inside of the camera (the projection side) does not become wide-angled when you are using a wide-angle lens. And a camera lens system does not do pure rectilinear projection. You have arranged the books on a geometric...

Explained: Odd Looking Bidens/Carters Photo - Not Fake, Just Perspective

No. The lens distortion may shrink the edges slightly. Barrel distortion In barrel distortion, image magnification decreases with distance from the optical axis. [..] Barrel distortion may be found in wide-angle lenses, and is often seen at the wide-angle end of zoom lenses The "Biden...

Explained: Odd Looking Bidens/Carters Photo - Not Fake, Just Perspective

The green rectangles are 80% the size of the red rectangles, so if the effect is solely due to perspective, then the Carters are 25% further away from the camera than the Bidens. For example, if the Bidens are 6 feet from the camera, and the Carters are 7.5 feet from the camera, then perspective...

Am I thinking about curve correctly?

If you can get them to calculate where the "hump" centerpoint is using the drop formula, and then apply straight-line geometry from the observer through centerpoint toward the dropped mountain, that should give an approximately correct result (but does not compensate for atmospheric refraction).

Explained: Odd Looking Bidens/Carters Photo - Not Fake, Just Perspective

The problem with people's intuition is that we're used to seeing photos taken from a larger distance: in larger halls for public press shootings of politicians, or in a TV studio where walls of the room are missing to allow a larger distance for the camera in a sitcom.

Am I thinking about curve correctly?

No, the fallacy in the thinking has its own logic. It results from thinking about the Globe Earth with Flat Earth concepts (similar to the notion that water would run down the sides of the globe, planes would have to fly "nose down", and others). "I don't know who taught you how to do math but...

Debunked: The Lunar Cycle affects birth rates

Yonezawa wrote (in the abstract, no less): Spontaneous birth frequency increased uniformly from the new moon to the full moon phase and decreased until the waning crescent phase. This is only true if you divide his data into 8 bins. The paper also has the image for 16 bins: When the lunar...

Debunked: Study shows link between menstrual cycle and the moon

1952 is the other half-moon synchronicity period for subject 7 I'm more thinking along the line that women who have heard of the "moon effect" and experienced it are more likely to keep recording this data. But of course that's an unsupported conjecture at this point.

Debunked: Study shows link between menstrual cycle and the moon

Menses data were collected over the past 15 years from healthy women who were free of contraceptive medications and had recorded the onsets of their menses out of personal interest. The women provided their records to the first and second authors after they learned of their interest in diaries...

Debunked: Study shows link between menstrual cycle and the moon

First thoughts: a) Why are the blue and yellow lines wavy and not in sync? b) why aren't there lines that delimit 7.4 day intervals around the new and full moons? c) the light theory does not really explain new moon synchrony well d) the gravimetric graphs look like "if you draw enough lines...

2004 USS Nimitz Tic Tac UFO FLIR footage (FLIR1)

I tried ogimet for aviation weather reports (METARs), but they only go back to 2005. San Diego airport itself might have an archive; the report would include information about visibility. https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/has/HAS.DsSelect is an overview of US government weather databases, maybe that...

Isolation: How will you pass the time?

As far as the "dumpster fire" comment pertains to the pace of vaccinations: US procurement was based on govt emergency orders for domestic production, which AFAIK entails that surplus vaccines may not be sold or even gifted to other countries legally. The EU has no central government that can do...

    My Chat With Luis Elizondo

You are choosing your assumptions to fit your conclusion. The problem with UAP is precisely that they are unidentified. All your alternatives presume that the Pentagon knows what they are, but there must be some phenomena where they don't. Now, it's probably pretty important for strategists to...
