    Fuel dump from one wing?

This video is doing the rounds: https://www.facebook.com/100009445372215/videos/1513325742325590/ It appears to show a fuel dump from only one wing of a four-engined airliner (747?). I can't find anything about this incident on a search on this site. Any ideas for tracking it down?

    Contrails in USA vs. Austraila

And even what little air traffic there is in Western Australia is mostly traffic to and from Perth. So in and around Perth you won't see contrails overhead from that traffic, because it won't be high enough to be leaving contrails. (Sometimes you can see them out over the ocean where they are...

Calculator for RHi and Contrail Persistence Criteria

Choose the most recent run. The weather model runs four times a day, at 00Z, 06Z, 12Z and 18Z: that's midnight, 6am, noon and 6pm Greenwich Mean Time. They take a few hours to appear on the site after the quoted run time though. The model runs in 3 hourly steps. Right now it is just after 5pm...

Calculator for RHi and Contrail Persistence Criteria

Yes, another way of thinking about it is that water vapour in the air is more prone to condense onto ice than it is onto water. So as the air gets more humid, the humidity will hit 100% with respect to ice before it hits 100% with respect to water.

Calculator for RHi and Contrail Persistence Criteria

Both RHi and RHw are a measure of the relative humidity of the air. They values differ because they are measured relative to different things. RHi is the humidity relative to the saturation vapour pressure over ice. RHw is the humidity relative to the saturation vapour pressure over water...

Explained: UN Vehicles Spotted (Again) in the US [Delivery from US Manufacturer to Overseas]

It seems staggering that the Daily Mail article identified the manufacturer of the vehicles, but failed to point out the rather salient fact that that company is based in Virginia, the same state that the vehicles were seen being transported.

And two more just above right of centre. Most likely June bugs: there are lots flying around in the evenings at the moment.

Some more beautiful cirrus textures, and last night's sunset. This preceded some decent thunderstorms overnight.

Yes, the photos were from yesterday evening, I didn't make that clear :) It was a horrendously wet day but the sun broke through about 5pm and the evening was beautiful, with sunset at 9.23pm here.

Could the cleared areas correspond to pendules from the contrail dropping down into the cloud layer? The spacing looks about right.

Explained: Flat Earth Theory: Why don’t our clocks have to change by 12 hours in 6 months?

It would be, if we used sidereal time. But we don't, we use solar time, which is DEFINED BY the sun being overhead at noon. Which is why noon is always noon (give or take minor variations, time zone quirks, daylight saving time etc etc).

Explained: Flat Earth Theory: Why don’t our clocks have to change by 12 hours in 6 months?

I'm not quite sure what you are doing with your calculations. Sunrise and sunset times are given in solar time, so the adjustment due to the Earth's progression around its orbit is already factored in. Sunrise gets earlier and sunset gets later in summer compared to winter, but this is nothing...

Dane Wigington - Inaccuracies and Omissions

It's the fact that Santillo was saying things like "you're raising very valid points" when in fact Wigington and Barnes kept on talking about "seeing grid patterns of geoengineering in the sky". These experts need to spell it out clearly and unambiguously: "No, what you are seeing is persistent...

Dane Wigington - Inaccuracies and Omissions

I was just listening to that. Incredibly frustrating that David Santillo totally failed to call out the nonsense about "ongoing spraying". Surely that should have been the very first thing that he said after George Barnes and Dane said their piece. Instead he waffled and said many things that...

Trimming the Verge (of the Rabbit Hole)

I don't understand that sort of logic at all. I would put money on the fact that we are not alone in the universe. But the distances are so vast that it's very unlikely, barring some short-cut around light speed that we don't know about, that any aliens will visit us, or even visit each other...
