My 1st impression is that is CGI and I want to see original video files from devices with metadata. If that were real and over a modern city like Tehran there would be hundreds of phone and security videos, it would be undeniable.

The effects of the aurora fill the entire sky, a a plane for example etc is tiny dot for a lot of phone cameras. Then you add to that that because it is so small the camera doesn't really "know" anything is there and all sorts of compression issues and stabilisation and noise reduction etc...

It's the Skinwalker Ranch thing as well, point a load of cameras at things and wait for something to look odd on one of them. Bonus points for using other types of sensors that are not easily recreatable.
